This Cookie Policy explains how HeavenOfSails and its affiliates (collectively “HeavenOfSails”, “we”, “us”, and “ours”), use cookies and similar technologies to recognize you when you visit our website, including without limitation https://www.heavenofsails.com and any related URLs, mobile or localized versions and related domains / sub-domains (“Websites”). Why do we use cookies?

We use cookies and similar technologies on our website for two purposes only:

  • To remember whether you have accepted or declined analytics cookies, so that we do not ask you on every visit;
  • To understand how our website is used — which pages are visited and how quickly they load — so we know what to improve.

We do not use cookies for advertising, marketing, personalisation or cross-site tracking, and we do not sell any of this data.

What type of cookies does HeavenOfSails use?

Cookies can either be session cookies or persistent cookies. A session cookie expires automatically when you close your browser. A persistent cookie will remain until it expires or you delete your cookies. Expiration dates are set in the cookies themselves; some may expire after a few minutes while others may expire after multiple years. Cookies placed by the website you’re visiting are called “first party cookies”.

Nothing optional is set before you choose. Until you accept analytics cookies in the banner, Google Consent Mode holds analytics and advertising storage in a denied state, so the Google script loads but stores nothing and passes no identifiers. Declining costs you nothing: every page, the fleet, live availability and both forms work exactly the same either way.

Essential Cookies

The only essential item we store is hos_consent, a value in your browser’s local storage that records whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, so that the banner does not reappear on every visit. It is set whichever option you choose, holds nothing but that choice, is never sent to us or anyone else, and stays until you clear your browser data. It cannot be switched off in our systems, but you can delete it in your browser at any time; the only effect is that we ask again.

Performance and Functionality Cookies

We do not set any. The website has no accounts, logins, saved preferences or embedded media, so there is nothing to remember between visits beyond your cookie choice above. If that changes, we will list the new cookies here before they are used.

Analytics and Customization Cookies

These are the only optional cookies we use, and none are set until you choose “Accept analytics” in the cookie banner. They tell us how the website is used so we know what to improve; we do not use them to customise the website for you or to measure marketing campaigns.

Google Analytics 4 sets _ga and _ga_*, which last up to two years, to count visits and show which pages are used. IP addresses are anonymised. Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights record aggregate page views and real-user loading-speed measurements. They load only after you accept and set no cookies: Vercel identifies a visit by a hash derived from the request, which it discards after 24 hours.

Third Party Cookies

The analytics cookies described above are placed by scripts from Google and Vercel rather than by HeavenOfSails itself. Although they sit on our domain, those providers set and read them, and we cannot see or change their contents.

We do not embed content from third parties to serve advertising, and no advertising, marketing or cross-site tracking cookies are set on our website. Google Consent Mode keeps advertising storage denied at all times, whatever you choose in the banner. If we embed third-party content in future — a map or a video, for example — that provider may set its own cookies, and we will list it here first.

How you can manage cookies?

You can change your choice on this website whenever you like, and it takes effect immediately. The same button is in the footer of every page.

On this website the only effect is that we cannot remember your cookie choice, so the banner will appear again on your next visit; every page and both forms work the same with cookies blocked.
